Running In Circles
This short film follows the journey of a young girl who finds herself walking alone down a quiet road. At first, everything seems ordinary, but as she continues walking, she starts to notice strange, unsettling patterns in her surroundings. The road, the trees, the signs—they all begin to look familiar, as if she has passed them before. Slowly, she realizes she is walking in circles, trapped in an invisible loop from which she cannot escape.
As the repetition continues, fear begins to set in. The once peaceful path becomes a symbol of confusion and entrapment. With each step, her anxiety grows, and the world around her becomes more surreal and distorted. She tries to change direction, run, or even stop walking altogether, but somehow, she always ends up back where she started.
The film explores Expressionism, it uses exaggerated visuals, symbolic lighting, and dramatic atmosphere to externalize her internal state of anxiety and helplessness.
The Upside Down
The second short film is inspired by Stranger Things and its concept of the “Upside Down.” It centers on a woman caught in an argument with her husband—an emotionally charged moment that becomes a turning point. As the tension peaks, she suddenly realizes that something has changed. The world around her has transformed: all signs of life have vanished, and everything feels cold, damp, and eerily silent.
The film visually explores the contrast between the normal world and the haunting “Upside Down.” After the initial scene with the woman, she disappears entirely from the frame, leaving the rest of the film to focus on the unsettling emptiness of this alternate dimension. Familiar places appear abandoned and distorted, light is replaced with shadows, warmth with decay.
